"You Have Alzheimer's: Now What?"

A frequently asked question for me is, "How can I prevent Alzheimer's?" Because we do not yet know the cause, we cannot determine the cure. I have never had a client ask about preventing cardiovascular disease, the number one killer of older adults. Why? The media has focused on Alzheimer's Disease to the point that people are hyper-aware of every simple memory error. If you are concerned that you may have dementia or Alzheimer's, the key is the phrase SO WHAT.....SO for SUDDEN ONSET. WHAT because instead of looking for the car keys, one with Alzheimer's looks at the keys and asks "WHAT is this?" A well-known psychologist, Dr. Richard Taylor, PhD, has been diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's and he is sharing his journey online.
